Preventative Care

Preventative Care

Through preventative care, Central Care Community Health Center provides medical and dental care before problems become irreparable.  Checkups are important for early detection of health problems, for the prevention of larger health problems, and to maintain a healthy smile. These checkups are also known as screenings, well-woman visits, prenatal care and pediatric well-child visits.

The Central Care Community Health Center preventative health care program includes the Texas Health Steps Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Service from Medicaid for comprehensive and preventative health service for patients 21 years old and younger.

Visit the Texas Health and Human Services Commission website to learn whether your child qualifies for THSTEPS; or call 877-THSTEPS (847-8377).
